Christmas Celebration 2025 Santhome

During the month of December 2025, the St. Thomas Conference actively engaged in a wide range of charitable, spiritual, and social outreach initiatives. Inspired by the true spirit of Christmas, the Conference focused on extending love, care, and support to needy families, parish workers, children, and marginalized communities, both within and beyond the parish.

1. Charity and Welfare Activities

07.12.2025: As part of its regular charitable mission, the Conference distributed new dress ,rice bags, essential groceries, cakes, and bed sheets to needy families in the ward. Contributions from Conference benefactors were also collected during this initiative.

During this activity, new dresses, essential groceries, cakes, and bed sheets were distributed to the needy through the Parish Priest and Assistant Parish Priest, ensuring that assistance reached those who required it most. The total value of the charitable distribution amounted to ₹1,00,000/-.

At Rosanagar Parish, 25 lungies were distributed to needy individuals. As a Christmas ex-gratia gesture, half a month’s salary was given to the tailoring teacher, Aari tailoring teacher, and dispensary nurse.

2. Special Christmas Outreach Initiatives

a) Adopted Family Christmas Celebration

A special Christmas celebration was organized for adopted families, enabling the Conference to personally share the joy and blessings of Christmas with them.



b) Church Workers’ Christmas Support

In appreciation of their dedicated service, church workers were presented with a cash gift of ₹500/- along with a Christmas cake.



c) Visit to Prema Vasam, Gerugambakkam (Physically Challenged and Disabled Children’s Home)

Conference members visited Prema Vasam, a children’s home in Gerugambakkam that cares for physically challenged and abandoned children. An amount of ₹30,000/- was spent on groceries, sanitary materials, and Christmas food to support the children during the festive season.


d) Christmas Dress Distribution near Pulicat

New dresses were distributed to 30 families in a village near Pulicat, with the total value of the distribution amounting to ₹7,830/-.

Conclusion

Through these initiatives, the St. Thomas Conference truly lived out the message of Christmas by reaching out to the poor, the needy, children, parish workers, and marginalized communities. These efforts stand as a testimony to the Conference’s unwavering commitment to service, compassion, and Christian fellowship.

Working Hours

Our conference meetings will be held every Sunday at 9 AM - 10 AM in the conference hall at St. Thomas National Shrine, Santhome.

◾ Distribution to the needy will be done on every week.
