Founded in 1833, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is an international lay organization, united in the mission to serve persons in need. In Santhome alone, the SSVP helps more than 200 people each year. We provide material support in the form of non-perishable food, clothes, household items and furniture to individuals and families across the parish.
We give direct financial and material aid, including money, food, and clothing, to families and individuals who need it most.
Our volunteers make home visits to truly understand needs, offering personal support, particularly to the sick and lonely.
We provide medical support, helping with everything from one-time hospital bills to ongoing healthcare costs.
St. Vincent de Paul (24 April 1581 – 27 September 1660) was a Catholic priest who dedicated himself to serving the poor. He was renowned for his compassion, humility and generosity and is known as the "Great Apostle of Charity".
Blessed Frédéric Ozanam (1813–1853) was a French Catholic literary scholar who founded the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in 1833 to serve the poor in Paris.
Our conference meetings will be held every Sunday at 9 AM in conference hall at St. Thomas National Shrine, Santhome.
◾ Distribution to poor will be done on every week.
